CV and Interview Skills
27th February 2018
Veolia employees Sabrina, Donna-Marie and Aishling from Business in the Community visited Plunket College of Further Education to present the second session - CV and Interview skills.
The workshop consisted of a power point presentation which went through how best to prepare a CV and Cover Letter and how to prepare for an Interview. We were also given a copy of the presentation that we can use in the future to help remind us what we should do before an interview. We learned that a well prepared Cover Letter was key to making a good impression on any future employers. On top of that we learned how to properly lay out a CV and what information to include in it.
In addition to the information, we learned about the preparation of our CV, the importance of how best to present yourself during an interview, for example to ensure that you are dressed well, not to wear jeans or a tracksuit. It is also of utmost importance to be familiar with the Company, common interview questions and the job itself.
Thank you to Donna Marie and Sabrina for giving us a valuable session on CV preparation and Interview Skills. It is something that we can use in the future.
Have a look at the video below, it will give you an idea of what we did on the day.
